Resident-driven Activities

Staying active and involved at Williamstown Commons Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is an important part of resident health and well-being. Our five full-time activities staff provide activities programming as unique as our residents, reflecting their interests and abilities, and promoting mental, physical and spiritual wellness. Our resident council represents resident interests and makes recommendations regarding activities and other community events.

Our schedule of activities includes:

  • Creative exercise classes
  • Trivia and brain games
  • Card games and Bingo
  • Bean bag poker
  • Live entertainment
  • Discussion groups
  • Crafts
  • Music and sing-alongs
  • Movies
  • Current events
  • Religious services
  • Socials and themed parties
  • Walking club
  • Pet therapy
  • Intergenerational programming
  • Outings to local restaurants and shopping

We plan a variety of outings, taking residents out to lunch, shopping, getting ice cream, visiting museums, going to the SteepleCats collegiate baseball games, or just taking in the fall foliage or holiday lights.

In addition to organized activities programming, a variety of leisure activities supplies, such as puzzles, games, books, and art materials, are available for independent use. We also provide one-on-one room visits for pet visits, aromatherapy, sensory experiences, and companionship.
